About Churches Opening Times
Although it's hard to list the opening times of the over 200 churches of
Rome, there's a rule that can be followed and which works well. Avoid
going at lunch time (12noon-3.30pm) when the churches are generally closed.
Go there instead early in the morning (7-10) and in the evening (5pm-6pm).
At these times you have more chance to find their doors open.

cross is part of the Vatican Treasure (which can be admired in the Museums
of the Treasure, entrance from the inside of the Basilica.)
This
Cross is a reliquary from the second half of the 6th C. given by the
Emperor of Bisanthium Giustino II. On the harms of the cross one can still
read the dedication FROM the Emperor and His Wife. |
