This
is a walking tour in the old city to see the major sites but also many less known places and some churches where you can see many beautiful works of art like carvings and
paintings/frescoes. During the time in the city you will be able to see both the
art/architecture and experience some of the life of the city. Perhaps we can pass a fruit and veg morning market and stop at a wine bar for a taste of wine, salami and
cheeses. The stop for lunch at ta typical trattoria.
The afternoon itinerary can include a visit to some of the sites of ancient Rome
(Colosseum and Forum) and sightsee the surroundings of these area with the Basilica of
St. Peter's in Chains with Michelangelo's Moses and the underground structures of the Basilica of
St. Clemente (approx 20 feet below ground where one can see the remains of an ancient Roman villa, factory and water
spring.) |
