Super tour
with Micaela
We took a fabulous tour with Micaela in Rome, more specifically, the
Jewish Quarter. Fascinating tour. Totally informative, enlightening, fun
and a wonderful experience. Micaela is so knowledgable in the history
and its people and takes pride in her tours. Totally recommend her for
any tour! You won't regret it!
Family Trip to Rome
Rome was our first stop. Our best experiences in Rome were due to the 2
wonderful guides that we met. We contacted Micaele for a tour of the
Jewish Ghetto. What a delightful evening. She is so enthusiastic,
articulate, and passionate about Rome, that we cannot wait to return. We
would definitely call her first!

Rome's
Jewish Ghetto
I also just took the walking tour of Rome's Jewish ghetto. The lovely
Micaela showed us the narrow streets and squares. From a Roman Jewish
family of many generations, she brought alive the history - both joyous
and terrible, of a life which still exists today even in these
emancipated time for the Jewish people. She is engaging, informative,
friendly and embodies the spirit and beauty of Roman Jewish life.

Tour of
Jewish Getto in Rome
Micaela is a lovely, informative and knowledgable young Roman Jew who
provided us with an in depth and unique tour of the jewish getto. She is
very personable and was able to relate the history of the jews in Rome
to us in a concise and authentic manner. She answered our many questions
and treated us as friends not tourists. We would highly recommend this
tour to other American jews who are visiting rome.

Our family recently had the pleasure of taking the Jewish Ghetto tour
led by Micaela Pavoncelo. She was most interesting and informative -
made the history of the Ghetto come alive. Her tour was a real highlight

Tours of
Jewish Rome and the Art Churches
My wife and I just returned from three wonderful days in Rome, led by
Micaela. The tour was wonderful and as a trained art historian, she
deepened our experience tremendously. As a warm human being, she cared
for us as well and directed us to all the special places. For a
nontraditional tour that is unparalleled, we recommend her highly.

Tours-Jewish section
We were in Rome in June and took a tour of the Jewish section with
Micaela. We had our children with us and she did a great job of
including everyone. We liked it so much that we asked her to take us on
a tour of other sites in the city the next day. She did and we ended up
spending another 3 hours with her . We learned alot and she made the
experience so much more worthwhile. We would use her again and would
recommend her to friends.

Micaela gave
a great tour of the Jewish Ghetto, definitely worth the time. Rick's
guide to the Borghese was better than the talking guides and we could go
at our own pace. Same with the ruins. Sistine chapel line was only forty
five minutes at noon.. Many times we got discounts just showing Rick's
book. Thanks! All 8 had a great two week trip!

Tour of
Jewish Rome
Thanks to your grafitti wall, I booked a tour of Jewish Rome with
Micaela. She was just as wonderful as everyone said. She took us on a
tour of the ghetto and then we strolled around the area outside. We had
intended to visit a few interesting sights outside of the ghetto, but we
enjoyed walking and talking so much we never got to most of them. She
will taylor your tour to whatever you are interested in. She is very
well educated, worldly, and (of course) opinionated if given the chance.
She was able to show us her city, which she loves, and give us an
insider's view. I recommmend her very highly.

Tour of
Jewish Ghetto in Rome
In Feb 2004, we had a delightful tour of the Jewish Ghetto with a young
Italian woman, Micaela. As a member of the community with both Roman and
Libyan ancestry, she was able to not only show us all the sites, but
gave us a real insight into Italian Jewry. She had such a winning
personality and a background in art as well that after the completion of
the Ghetto Tour, we continued touring with her for an additional two
hours seeing many sites and learning much of the lore of the areas and
piazzas near the Ghetto. A tour with Micaela will be a wonderful
addition to your itinerary.

The Jewish
Ghetto with Micaela
I would like to share my experience of the tour I had with Micaela in
the Jewish Ghetto of Rome. I discovered an unsuspected historical
richness in this small area. And she has been great in sharing her
knowledge in a very spontaneus way. I absolutely recomend her.

Tour of
Rome's Jewish ghetto
We had a wonderful tour of the Jewish ghetto in Rome with Micaela. She
was knowledgeable, spirited and easy to understand. There were objects
in the small museum in the synagogue that we had never seen before-which
really amazed us considering that we live in New York. The story of the
Jews in Rome is a compelling one which goes back many centuries- an
interesting additional element to appreciate along with the extensive
Christian history typically learned from a trip to Rome.

Jewish
Ghetto in Rome
Micaela was fantastic. She had an insider's seat in the Roman Jewish
community and ghetto. She was bright, charming, and extremely well
educated. As an art historian she enhanced our trip with insight and
sophistication. Her personal involvement with the small Jewish community
in Rome was shared with us as she provided entre to a Chanukkah party at
the synagogue; to friends and family in a restaurant; to a wonderful
bakery where we bought traditional Jewish sweets which we brought home
and ate back in the States. She took us to a menorah lighting in the
central square and to view the magnificent paintings in the local
churches. This was such an extraordinary tour that we developed a
genuine affection for this remarkable young woman. When she visited New
York several weeks later, we felt privileged to return a small part of
the favor and hosted her to dinner in our home. Please contact Micaela
if you are interested in the Jewish ghetto and/or the art work of Rome.
You will get much more than your money's worth. She's a gem!

Rome Jewish
Ghetto
We were in Rome in December 2002. My family consists of two adults and
three children ages 14, 11 and 10. We were fortunate to have a private
tour in the Jewish Ghetto with Micaela. She was fabulous. She was able
to make the tour interesting for all the ages in our family. She took us
to lunch at a Kosher restaurant and introduced us to typical Italian
Kosher foods. We would never have sampled these delicacies such as fried
artichokes had she not suggested them. She also did not limit the tour
to Jewish sites. We have recommended her to several friends and everyone
has agreed that she was a highlight of all their Italian tour guides.

Micaela tour
We took a tour with Micaela, of the Jewish quater in Rome. The tour was
both interesting and informative, and was very inclusive, not only did
we hear about the Jewish history of Romw, but she put everything into
nice perspective in Italian histroy, all the way up to the 20th century. We have already given her name and number to a few freiends travelling
Italy this summer, and hope they all take advantage of this fantastic
opportunity.

aged 12, 13 and 19 with me and she manged to gear the tour to appeal to
all of us. We saw the beuatiful old synagogue and walked aroung the
ghetto area while Micaela filled us in on all the interesting history.
She was really knowlegeable and enthusiastic and the tour was great

Tour of
Jewish Rome with Micaela
We had a lovely tour of Jewish Rome with Micaela. Aside from her being
sweet and charming, she has a tremendous depth of knowledge of the
Jewish quarter and the history of the Jewish community in Rome. As a
member of that community, she has plenty of insight into the
contemporary scene as well. She'll show you all the kosher
establishments (do not miss the bakery!), which is especially helpful if
you are staying in the ghetto. Micaela also works at the Museum of
Contemporary Art of Rome and is able to provide tours of other parts of
the city as well - unfortunately, we were not in Rome long enough to
take advantage of her offer to tour other parts of the city. Her English
is flawless.

We want to
thank you and your tour guides so much for helping to make our trip
the memorable vacation that it was. The highlight of it was our day
tours with Daniela, Mauro, and Micaela.
All 3 of
them were so knowledgeable, personable, and besides learning so much,
we also had fun. My teenager as well as my mother had the best
time. We all loved the golf cart tour of the old city, aswell as
the practicallity, it was a wild ride on the cobblestones, we will
never forget.
Angels and
Demons really came to life with our tours. Please give our best to
Mauro, Daniela, and Micaela. They made our trip for us, and we will
highly recommend your company.
