PRIVATE AND CUSTOM MADE TOURS OF ROME

We have two costs: 1) transportation; 2) guide

The transportation consists in a professional driver with official vehicle (limo car, van, minibus...) The limo company charges depending on the type of vehicle, mileage and time. Type of transportation vary depending on the site and number of passengers: we can use a vehicle on weels (Rome/Florence/Naples) or a boat (Venice/Naples)

The guide is a professional figure who has a background of art, archaeology, history or architecture and has an official license to be a guide for the territory for which he/she has taken exams for. For the guide service, the price is determined by how long the tour lasts (usually from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 8 horus.) This is the touring time for which you pay for; no charge is applied during lunch break which can vary from a minimum of 20 minute to a maximum of 1 hour (depending on which is the pace of the tour which vary depending on the clients and time available.)

The Companion is a licensed escort. The Companion can accompany our clients on special tours like shopping tours, visit to market places, orientation walks in the city... speaking the local language the companion can work as interpreter. A companion can not give tours of the cities (for which a special license is requested) but can give explainations of the sites from the outside.

The cost of a tour is determined by the combination of the use of transporation and guides. Sometimes we can also use transportation only (transfers and drives with no guidance) or guide only (walking tours.) Sometimes private transportation is not necessary and we can use public vehicles (like hydrofoil, busses, taxi cabs, gondola, water taxi, sail ships, vaporettos,...)

COST OF GUIDING SERVICE

The hourly cost of private tour for a group of maximum 7 people range from Euro 65.00 to Euro 90.00 (minimum 3 hour tour). The cost depends on the area of Italy (Rome, Naples, Florence, Venice) as every region/city has approved different official tariffs for the private guiding service.

ADDITIONAL COSTS (ADMISSIONS, TRANSPORTATION AND FOOD)

All costs for admissions, food, and public transportation such as taxis, metro, trains, buses are not included. The costs for private transportation such as limo service, and other forms of transportation used such as bicycles, vintage cars, vespas, carriages, golf carts, horses are extra costs.

LUNCH

We do not calculate lunch break as part of the touring time, therefore there is no hourly charge during lunch break. However, we consider a maximum time of 1 hour for lunch. After this time we do start again calculating the hourly charge.

If you wish you can invite the guide to join you for lunch. In this case the food costs for the guide is of your care.

ADMISSIONS

The admission costs for you and the guide are not included in the cost of the tour.

TRANSPORTATION

Taxi costs are not included in the cost of the tour. Transportation with driver can be organized by limo, van, minibus and other vehicles (see above)

ADDITIONAL COSTS AND DISCOUNTS

The above prices apply for groups of 2 to 6 people (older than 8 years old)

Extra charge for larger groups.

BOOKING, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

NO BOOKINGS ARE CONSIDERED CONFIRMED WITHOUT THE PAYMENT IN FULL OF THE REQUESTED SERVICES

PAYMENTS

For booking for Made to Measure services that include both guided tours and limo services or only guided tours, we request for the total cost of the service to be payed in advance. You can send the fund in one of the following forms:

1) by credit card through PAYPAL at www.paypal.com

2) by bank wire in $US or Euro

3) by personal or cashier check in USD to be sent to our Rome office

No bookings are valid if the client refuses to provide to us his complete home address and telephone number.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PAYING A BALANCE:

In case changes are made to the tour schedule while in Italy (e.g. booking od additional tours, additional hours and services) the balance has to be paid in EURO CASH ONLY.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICY

In case of cancellations we will refund your deposit in total if you cancel your booking 8 weeks prior your expected arrival day.

56-22 days before arrival day = refund of 75% of the total cost of the service

21-15 days before arrival day = refund of 50% of the total cost of the service

14-8 days before arrival day = refund of 25% of the total cost of the service

7 days or less before arrival day = no refund

For cancellation the on day before the tour or on the day of the tour, the client is charged for the full cost of the tour and limo service booked.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER WE CAN CHANGE THE SCHEDULE AND THE ITINERARY OF THE TOUR TO ADJUST IT TO THE WEATHER, BUT WE CAN NOT CANCEL THE TOUR. THERE IS NO REFUND IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER.

Refunds are sent via mail as Euro check made to your name. Shipping costs at your charge.
