Barara has a PHD in archaeology and history of ancient Roman art (with a work on the Dea Flora.) Her interests are focused on methods in popularization. Barbara teaches at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome where she teaches Thecnics of Popularization for Tourists and prepares professional guides for their work. Also wites for the l'Osservatore Romano (reviews on books and exhibits) and has published two books: one on the town of Matera and the other is an orientation and manual guide for professional guides.
