BORGHESE GALLERY

the Borghese Gallery, host to one of the most important collections in the world, is reopening. It will again be possible to see the paintings as they where hung originally and the collection of ancient marble statuary, including the celebrated sculptures of Bernini and the figure of Paolina Borghese by Canova. The Villa Borghese can be considered a true "cultural park", something unique and unmatched, with its fountains, sculptures, monuments and historic buildings. Here we find some of the most important cultural institutions of Rome: the National Gallery of Modern Art, reopening its 19th century wing and the Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia reopening its room of the Freeze of Pyrgi.
