Country
Home with Land
This is probably the most charming of the solutions, an independent villa with land. It has the advantage of the exclusivity and the disadvantage of being isolated. It can be purchased to be restored or already restored. We suggest opting for a Villa to be restored so as to get the best value in size of property. Part of the funds will be used for the purchase and part for the restoration works. Another advantage is that during the restoration works it is possible to remodel the building.
Apartment
in Villa with garden
The advantage of this solution is that the house is not isolated. The Villa - a country house - is divided in apartments. The garden surrounding the villa is divided in smaller areas to serve each apartment. Common swimming pool and other services are for the use of the inhabitants of each portion of the villa.
Apartment
in town
This solution is for those who prefer to live in a town and be near to all the facilities that a town can offer, like shops, post office, events and people. Indeed some people may prefer to have an apartment in a characteristic building inside of a town and be only a stairway away from walking the alleys of a village or a larger town and be surrounded by people and life.
THE
TERRITORY
Aside from the type of house that is preferred, the winner of the HOUSE RAFFLE will be also invited to indicate to our organization the preferred type of location for the property (city, village, or countryside) within the area of Viterbo. A property in a city can be way more expensive than a property in a town or a village. A property in the countryside can be less expensive than a property in a town, but the value also depends on the location and on the size of the land surrounding the property. Another factor that determines the value of the property is its history. An historical building is way more fascinating and precious than a new one. An elegant residence would be more expensive than a farm house; although the rural style of a farm house has a very special
charm.
We focus on the territory around the city of Viterbo, which is one of the Provinces of the Lazio Region, located North, near the territory of Umbria. This part of Italy is still relatively unknown and undiscovered. Definitely unknown to mass tourism. The pace of life is still very layed back, and still similar in many ways to the life style of 50 years ago. The territory is still very well preserved and so are the traditions of the people of this area. The land produces olive oil, wines, hazelnuts, chustnuts. The territory is central to many lakes (as Lake Vico, Lake Bolsena, Lake Mezzano, Lake Bracciano), un-contaminated rivers (like the Fiora), mountains (like the Mt. Cimini); archaeological sites - this is the craddle of the Etruscan civilization - medieval towns like Viterbo and Vitorchiano; Renaissance jewels like the Villa Lante in Bagnaia, the Park of the Monsters in Bomarzo, Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, to name some; unique sites like the town of Civita di Bagnoregio. All of this and only an hour and half train ride from Rome!!

HOW
IT WORKS
Through the raffle ticket sales we will create a corpus of funds which will be used to purchase and/or restoration of a property of the winner’s choosing.
WE
WILL PRESENT OPTIONS FOR A COUNTRY HOUSE OR AN APARTMENT IN THE AREA
OF UNDESCOVERED TUSCIA REGION (Viterbo) - you can read more about the
beauties of this land by checking the links at the bottom of this page and
by doing some related Google search.
We think that the area of the
Province of Viterbo will be the best deal
due to its beauty, its closeness to Rome and Florence and the best value
of real estates (quality/price)
The funds will be used for: purchase (or purchase & restoration) of a property for the Winner up to Euro 500.000; lawyer and notary services; taxes related to the purchase; organization of the Raffle
Event.
The winner will get the keys to a newly completely restored property at no additional costs
(purchase costs, restoration works, taxes, notary, lawyers, all of these expenses will be taken care of by our
organization)
The Raffle is open to all worldwide, not only Italians. The actual drawing of the winning ticket will be the centerpiece of a four day
celebration, however, you need not be present to win. Every person who bought a ticket will be invited to attend these events: The Drawing folowed by a Party in one of the Castles in the Northern Lazio area, along with specially priced guided tours and transportation services , allowing free time to enjoy spas and relax.

THE
TRIP TO ITALY!
All the participants to the House Raffle are invited to come to
Italy for the Raffle Event and take part to all the activities included in
this package.
We
offer a trip package at a very convenient price per person to all the
people who wish to come to Italy for the
House
Raffle Event.
The
cost of the package will be published by April 30TH 2010 on this page and will include
accommodation, transportation,
guided
tours and meals.
Cost
of flights will not be included since we expect people coming from all
over the world; so you can purchase your flight from your agent at home.
Participating
to the House Raffle Event will be an occasion to come to Italy and get to
know this beautiful and undescovered part of Italy that is the region of
Tuscia!

THE
RAFFLE NIGHT
The
Raffle Event will consist in a special night which we will organize in the
unique framing of a spectacular Italian castle with gardens. This soirée,
in which the winner tickets will be estracted, will include dinner and
entertainment such as a recital of classic Italian music and Opera, and
dances.
We
are currently taking under consideration the possibility of organizing the
Raffle Night at the Ruspoli Castle in the village of Vignanello (VT)
This

NOTE:
Our organization will be able to afford
organizing such a grand event (the Raffle Night at the Castle) ONLY if a minimun of 9,001 raffle tickets
will be sold by August 31ST, 2010. In case of sell of a minor number of
tickets we will have to adjust the organization of the event according
with the available budget.

PRIZES
There will be prizes for the first 10 tickets that will be
extracted:
First extracted ticket wins the Property
Second to the Tenth extracted tickets will win other prizes including: time periods for staying at Hotels and Country Homes in Italy to be used within one year, private guided tours to be used within one year, luxury wines, local produces and
crafts.
